Description
Yosemite Valley in Autumn, by Sheryl Knight, is an oil painting done in late October. It is a painting of the Yosemite Valley with its beautiful deciduous trees turning their fall color, evergreens, beautiful rocky mountains, fall colored grasses, and water standing in the meadow from the rain, creating interest and reflections. This painting was done quickly with a palette knife instead of brushes. It is very loose with lots of texture. There are a few figures on the beach. This painting will hang in the Haggin Museum in Stockton, CA from August 2 to September 16, 2018. It will be part of the signature and master members show of American Women Artists.
