Red Barn and Lupin

Red Barn in Spring, Iconic Red Barn at the Four Deer Ranch in Los Alamos, CA with a field of lupin in the foreground.  Beautiful sight, painted on location in April at this private ranch.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day to be out painting en plein air.  Some of the trees between the eucalyptus had not leafed out for the year as of yet, so their bare branches added a nice contrast and added to the composition.
