Evening Glow

Evenig Glow is an original oil painting from the Easter Sierras of California near Bishop.  It is of  a dirt road just outside Farmer's Pond leading you into the heart of the scene.  I loved the evening light as the sun was going down and the tall cottonwood trees at the end of the road.  The mountains were turning blue and violet and the grasses along the road golden with the end of the day.   I originally painted this as a small gouache study, and then I started this oil painting as a demo at one of my galleries and completed it in my studio.
