Evening Pasture

Evening Pasture by Sheryl Knight  is an oil painting of cows grazing in the evening on green pasture near Lake Almanor, CA.  It is late spring about 7:30 in the evening in May.  The weather was warm and the scene was breathtaking.  The distant hills and trees only added to the beauty of it all.   The cows were content to enjoy their pasture and not at all bothered by my presence.  I knew the minute I saw this that it was something I wanted to paint.
