The Gift of Spring

The Gift of Spring is a Studio painting from a plein air study of wildflowers in spring located off of Highway 166 in southern San Luis Obispo County, California.   The hills and the hillside were all a beautiful green from the recent rains, and the wildflowers were composed of small yellow daisy-like flowers along with blue and purple lupine.   Coastal oak trees dotted the landscape to give more interest to the scene.
