Winter’s Silence

Winter's Silence, is an original oil painting by Sheryl Knight.  It is a snow scene from the Western Sierras of California depicting the beauty and silence of a winter scene.   The contrast of the dark evergreens against the white of the snow is always beautiful to me, along with the muted colors of the partially frozen water as meanders through the snow banks.   I love the muted colors of the distant trees and hillside.
